January 19, 2009 Y 9:17 AM Mehhhh- Saturday-Sore Throat Sunday- Sore throat and cold Monday-Cold and cough Tuesday- Couldn't go to school because of my cold and cough Now here I am on Wednesday, not at school because I lost my voice; basically completely. I still have a cold that is simmering down a bit, and a cough that won't stop. I'm hoping if I don't talk at all today that my voice will regain some strength by tomorrow. I need to get to work on my missing assignments that I'm basically caught up on, but I thought I should update you guys with a post and a 2009 makeup wishlist. Lets hope the formatting works out. So in the past few days I received my first stye, a sore throat/cold, and new "best friends" (aka: acne) on my face...how lovely. Because I've felt so drained lately I won't be making videos until I'm better. Literally for the past few days all I've done is sleep, watch movies, watch youtube videos, and sleep some more. In these kinds of times I find myself in desperate need of some retail therapy. Retail Therapy; verb: The act of shopping as an outlet for frustration and a reliever of stress. or Retail Therapy; verb: an excuse for people, mostly females, to go shopping when they're feeling bad, when in reality their bad feelings could be released/treated in other ways. In any case, I realized I had some gift cards lying around and decided to put them to good use. In the last hour I purchased 3 things from MAC, some movies from bestbuy, and nail stuff from 8ty8beauty. Expect a haul next week :D Also expect a blog post sometime soon with my 2009 wishlist. I'll probably end up doing that tomorrow as an act of procrastination against my homework load. Stay Healthy! -Shayna January 13, 2009 Y 5:09 PM Hey Hey Hey- So I just received my report card and I'm very happy about my grades! I got 3 A's and 3 B's. Let's hope that I can keep up with school this semester. I want to continue to be able to apply for this scholarship program...kind of like honor roll at my school, as well as honor roll. Because I only do a school sport in the fall though, I can only apply for honor roll in the fall, but I can apply for the scholarship federation in both fall and spring semesters. So anyways, besides school, I've been very tempted to go check out MAC's Brunette, Blonde, Redhead collection which features new skinfinishes, eyeshadow, lipsticks, lipglosses etc. I might go check it out this weekend at my local MAC counter, but I don't know how much I want or will be able to pick up. My parents may pay for my stuff since I got good grades :) I have to say that I'm not all that excited for the Hello Kitty collection. It just doesn't really catch my interest. I have been checking out specktra.net though, and they have posted upcoming MAC 2009 collections, and after reading some of the discussion boards, I found that there is a 3 part collection coming up around my birthday month; June! The collection is supposed to launch June 11th, 2 days before my birthday. Speaking of birthday, I got a comment on my youtube page (http://www.youtube.com/dancer4life34) saying that people were saying it was my birthday. Well...my birthday isn't until June...June 13th to be precise. I'm not quite sure how people thought my birthday was in January but whatever Haha. Going back to makeup, I've made a couple shopping carts on maccosmetics.com as well as sephora.com with a huge load of makeup that I would love to acquire. I'll list my 2009 wishlist items in another post but look for that, I'd love to know what you guys think of some of the products if you've had any previous use with them. January 5, 2009 Y 8:47 PM Hello Everyone- So yes I did make a new blog. I guess just from seeing everyone else make one and all the cool designs people did made me really want one! It reminds me of myspace: with all the codes and what not. I was actually pretty good at all of that stuff, but this blog stuff is something I'm gonna have to learn more about. I have to give my girl Fran (coconutty222) a huge thank youuuuu for making my blog so awesome! I still need to fool around with it but hopefully I'll have this down in the next couple days.
